Applications should be made on-line at http://www.ucas.com/how-it-all-works/teacher-training through either Apply 1 or Apply 2.
Applications will be considered jointly by the University of Northampton, the Lead School and participating schools.
Please note that schools listed on the Teaching Agency website are Lead Schools which often represent a number of schools in a cluster, some of which may be in a desired geographical area even if the Lead School is not. Applicants are not necessarily applying for a position with the Lead School itself, but with a school, or schools, represented by the Lead School.
For more information about when to apply for Apply 1 and Apply 2, please see:
School Direct Training Programme trainees pay fees and may be eligible to apply for a bursary/student loan. The size of bursaries varies according to degree classifications and subject specialisms (if any are included in your training). Further details can be found at www.education.gov.uk/get-into-teaching/funding.aspx
School Direct Salaried trainees are employed by a school and receive a salary at an unqualified teacher rate (at least on point 1 of the unqualified salary scale).
